Secondary Schools' Case Competition
The Secondary Schools' Case Competition is an annual event bringing together the top students from around New Zealand to compete for the title of Secondary Schools' Champion. This competition allows students to test their business knowledge through real-world applications and develop their skills in communication, analysis, team-work and time management. This event was only just rolled out on a national level in 2013. RegistrationRegistrations for this competition are not yet open for 2015. Format
Team Size: Four people All team members must speak at some time during the presentation. No external materials will be allowed into the preparation room. Teams prepare slides on paper and use the document camera to present. Preliminary rounds will be hosted in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch. Winners from each preliminary rounds will progress to the final round in Auckland. Dates
Preliminary Rounds: 14th, 15th, 16th of July The competition will be held in July. Teams will be required to attend one day for their preliminary round, and a second day if they qualify for the finals. These dates are not fixed and may change at the discretion of MCC. PreparationAll teams will be assigned a coach from within the Management Consulting Club to provide information on how to approach a case and facilitate practices if desired. We would recommend meeting with your coach at least twice. However, there is no compulsory preparation.
