Post Graduate Case Competition 2019

Registrations are open now!

The Deloitte Post Graduate Case Competition gives post grad students the opportunity to analyse a business and consult management on the best strategy for the organisation. We expect post grad students to use their in-depth knowledge on specific areas of study and apply it to a real-life business. Participating students will gain analysis, presentation and team-work skills. This competition is open to all post grad students and is by no means exclusive to Commerce students.

Team Size: Four people
Preparation Time: Three hours
Presentation: 10 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of Q&A

All team members must speak at some point during the presentation. No external materials will be allowed into the preparation room. Teams prepare slides on paper and use the document camera to present.

Case Tutorial/Practice Case Day:
Saturday 13 April

In the workshop, we will cover the fundamentals of case cracking. This will be a hands on session with experienced coaches who will be able to assist you with any questions, and give you the advice that you need to succeed in the competition.

For more experienced competitors who wish to brush up on their skills before the competition, practice cases will be run. These cases will be run in a similar format to the actual competition, however in a more relaxed setting. Our experienced judges will provide immediate feedback after your presentation.

All competitors are encouraged to visit the resources section of our website for in-depth tutorials on the different aspects of cracking a case.

Please see the resources section of our website for tutorial slides, presentation slides and videos from representative teams.

Practice cases will be available for your team to view prior to the competition. We will email when these are available to be collected. All practice cases must be returned before you can compete and there is a maximum of one case on per team available for loan at any time.
